About Me

Dr. Cindy M. George

Dr. Cindy M. George is a Marriage & Family Therapist with twenty five years of experience in the field of Counseling/Psychology. She was born and raised in the British Virgin Islands and earned a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Couples, & Family Therapy from Barry University in 2010. Dr. George is licensed to practice and has worked in Florida (LMHC), the United Kingdom, Cayman Islands, and the British Virgin Islands. She has worked in private practice, community agencies, psychiatric hospitals, schools, and in academia; as a member of faculty. While her clinical experience is broad, her passion is working with couples and families to facilitate healing and growth of healthy relationships and functional family systems. She is committed to working particularly with families who are experiencing mental illness, trauma, grief & loss, infidelity, domestic abuse, divorce & separation and blended family challenges. Dr. George is a competent and experienced community speaker, lecturer and author who is often called upon to facilitate conversations which lead to healthier families and communities. Dr George has also recently become a LMHC Qualified Supervisor in 2022, growing the impact she can make on the field.

The goal of Cimorge is to provide personalized care with an exceptional high quality of professional standard for each client; to meet their specific needs and concerns. As a limited practice, individualized therapy is tailored to each client
